A perpetual source code license for the SQLite Compressed and Encrypted Read-Only Database (CEROD) extension costs US $2000.00. This is a one-time fee that enables you to ship as many copies of the code as you want as long as each copy is compiled and statically linked with your application.
The purchase of a perpetual source code license authorizes you to create multiple products that use the CEROD Extension as long as all products are developed and maintained by the same team. For the purposes of this paragraph, a "team" is a work unit where everybody knows each others names. If you are in a large company where this product is used by multiple teams, then each team should acquire their own separate license.
The perpetual license authorizes you to receive as many free updates to the CEROD Extension as you like. But you have to ask for updates - they are not shipped automatically.
The SQLite CEROD Extension is shipped as source code only. You are responsible for compiling the code and building it into your product. If you can compile the public domain version of SQLite then you will have no difficulty compiling the CEROD Extension. Note that the CEROD extension uses the zlib compression library which you must obtain and compile separately - it is not shipped with the SQLite source code.
The perpetual source code license for the CEROD Extension does not include technical support. If you need assistance in compiling or using the CEROD Extension, technical support is available separately. You do not have to purchase technical support at the same time that you acquire your source code license. Many users begin with a source code license then purchase technical support later if and when they need it.
